The African Leadership Group comprises five corporate structures:

African Leadership Development Trust
A public benefit organisation that is a custodian of five objectives of the African Leadership Group it monitors the African Leadership Group in line with world-class governance principles and leadership practices.

African Leadership Dialogue
Promotes advocacy and stimulates national debate that enables South African’s and Africans to tell their own story.
It seeks to get the nation talking, and then acting on the practical wisdom of inclusive, consultative and abiding leadership.
It seeks to achieve this through the national media, study groups, forums, community imbizos, seminars/conferences, leadership exchange, field trips, publications and theatrical productions.

African Leadership Development
Scripts modules, presents lectures and learning material, including books and videos, about effective leadership, models principles and values.
The learning material will be shared with existing educational institutions around the country and the continent.

African Leadership Research
Encourages diverse groups of people to explore who they are, their achievements and contributions to enhance human progress.
African Leadership Research also sets out to encourage people to tell their own stories, explore their cultural and group origins, ask questions about effectiveness and document leadership and success in formal academic research that is useful and applicable to everyday life and structures.

African Leadership Consultancy
Takes this wisdom, this research and these skills into social, business and government structures to make a difference and an impact on leadership practices.
It also creates a forum in which people who have moved out of or who have retired from active organisational life can return and offer their wealth of experience, wisdom and insight to present-day and future leaders.
It is a structure in which these people may build and leave their legacy.
